Lids & Lads, a community driven moto art show and flea market, with intention to bring people from complete different fields and scenes to come together, in an unlikely location, to appreciate art expressed on a different canvas- a Bell helmet. 13 local artists have been working on their helmets and will be exhibiting them on the event day.
The featured artists include Singaporean batik artist/ teacher Kamal Dollah, calligraphy expert/judge Master Yong, street credited ceramist, graffiti artists & illustrators such as Sabotage, Clogtwo & Siddwills, bespoke tailor Kevin Seah and tattoo artist & barber Feroze Mcleod, and a student from our local Nanyang Technological University.
Lids & Lads will also feature a vintage motorcycle flea market, live barber & tattoo sessions and pop up stores by local artisans to showcase their arts. The helmets will be up for bidding with part of the proceeds going to support the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
The event aims to showcase the diversity and creativity of our very own homegrown talents in the arts and moto scene, to bring different cultures and communities together in an unlikely event and venue as a platform for positive cross-cultural and multi-dimensional exchange and exposure. And to support and improve the motorcycle community image and promote an aspirational goal of safe and stylish riding and add to the scene diversity and attraction of Singapore for tourists.
