The New Piaggio Store Opens
We were there together with the rest of the two-wheeled aficionados to witness the grand opening of the totally revamped Mah main showroom housing Piaggio Group’s four main brands. The Piaggio Group is the only global western manufacturer and European leader of two-wheelers, creating iconic motorcycles such as Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi.
Located along Serangoon Road, the 200-square meter concept store will showcase more than 26 vehicles of various makes and original accessories on display such as apparels and helmets.
The venue will also showcase the rich heritage of its most popular brand, Vespa, which will celebrate its 70th anniversary next year. With a lawn at the front of the showroom, visitors can sit and talk about their riding loves all day long, or relax at the mezzanine area while watching ‘live’ events or races in web streaming through the two video walls in the store.
“The Singapore market, while small, is seeing a growing interest in higher-end bikes. Our collaboration with Piaggio Group has grown throughout the years and this new main showroom is just one of the indications (of) how the brand is moving to provide the best products for its customers,” said Mr. Eugene Mah, Managing Director of Mah Pte Ltd.
“It’s the first time that I’m been invited to a Vespa showroom launch and I’m very delighted that there is such a elegantly designed showroom to present the Vespa brand to the masses. As the Secretary of the Vespa Club Singapore, we are now in discussion with the Piaggio reps (Mah Pte Ltd) in Singapore on offering free first-year Vespa Club memberships for every Vespa purchase. If this happens it’ll be two great things happening in one night!” commented Patricia Neo, Vespa LX150 rider.
“The Piaggio concept store is not only a stylish and dynamic meeting point for two-wheel enthusiasts, it will provide an illustrious experience for fans in Asia to immerse in the wonderful world of Piaggio,” said Mr. Costantino Sambuy, Executive Vice President of Piaggio Asia Pacific.
