Indian Chief Dark Horse
Definitely loaded with more torque than Kathy Perry’s rendition, the Indian Motorcycle’s Dark Horse will be revealed for the first time at a US bike show in Chicago on February 13.
The black beauty will also be shown for the first time in Europe at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle show at Dockland’s Excel on Saturday February 14.
At the moment Indian is only releasing this official teaser image showing the famous Indian Chief head mascot mounted on a matte black front mudguard of the bike.
The Dark Horse is much similar to the Classic, with the forks, handlebar, headlamp unit and tank-mounted speedometer housing done in matt-black, along with the engine and wheels. It will feature a 1,811 cc air-cooled V-twin making 73 horsepower and 100 foot-pounds of torque.
Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic front forks, and an adjustable, pneumatic single shock does duty at rear. Braking is carried out by ABS-equipped disc brakes up front and a single disc brake at rear. Also expect the Chief Classic’s keyless ignition system.
